Default The wait is over...Stage 3 AFR Details inside

These are the flow numbers from our Bare AFR castings with our Stage 3 CNC program and blended by hand. After completion the Intake Runner is 238 cc's. These were flowed at 28" of water and on a 4.000" Bore. We feel that the AFR castings will help alleviate most of the head gasket issues that everyone has had in the past. The price will be $2,995 for these heads, complete and ready to bolt on. We are going to work out all the specifics and breakdown the parts list in the morning. The first pic is the shot of the AFR end stamp and intake runners. The second is of an intake bowl port after the CNC Stage 3 program has ran and the last pic is of the hand finished bowl and combustion chamber. Enjoy

this is where it's gonna be. bare AFR's in a head porters hands are gonna start making some serious power. can't wait to see what these AFR's are really going to be capable of.

Not bad if you like 340+cfm flowing heads I want some of those!!!!!!!!! Are these AFR 205's or 225's? If 205's, man imagine what the 225's will do!!!

They are bare castings with TEA's CNC program ran on them. The 205 and 225(eventually) both start life as this same casting before having a CNC program ran on them at AFR.

Again, these are the bare castings with TEA's CNC program ran on them.

Good work guys, those are some awesome numbers.

XLR8NSS is correct. They are the bare AFR LS1 castings.

Ah ok, makes PERFECT sense. So from the looks of it, AFR may need to revamp their 225 project to keep up with you guys at TEA and those perty 238's hehe

lets see some numbers. Anyone can port a head but will it perform is the question. Looks like you have to rev the **** outta this head because of the large runner

It is a Stage III head, not intended for stock shortblocks, really intended for something with a 4.00" or larger bore. Kurt Urban at Wheel to Wheel just made 1560 HP with this CNC program. The valve sizes are 2.08/1.60, hope this helps.

If they are both the same casting and AFR just CNC's the 225 from the same casting as the 205's then there is no sense in waiting for the 225's. Am I right?

Awesome flow numbers.

As to why you might wait for the AFR 225's: $3k is serious money. That's $1k more than you can buy the 205's for. I don't know the price of the 225's but I'm sure there may be price v. performance trade-offs if the 225s do not match up. I wish I had that dilema.

What are the flow #'s on the exhaust side? Also what size valves? Any info on the velocity of the ports?
