a) Disconnect Negative battery terminal
b) Support Motor via hoist
c) Unbolt Transmission
d) Remove engine

Sorry, could not resist.

It would take way too long to explain what to disconnect before dropping the motor and tranny out together. Driveshaft, disconnect torque arm, manifolds from y-pipe, tranny crossbrace. Move to motor up top. Remove PCM lay wiring harness on motor work your way around from passenger to driver disconnecting anything that goes to the motor, coolant lines, and not to forget brake lines, fuel lines, and there is a pesky little harness for the brake lines on the engine side of the driver side wheel well. Include pulling brake booster, unbolting the brake master cylinder and pulling up and laying it on your cowel. Then remove the strut bolts, and the 3 bolts on each side of the cradle from underneath. Start lowering the motor and tranny out slowly watching for anything catching. Whatever catches remove it, disconnect it or move it out of the way. That in an extremely short explaination is the engine and tranny drop out. I've done 3 or 4 of them, but not on my own. Get a couple of buddies to help out.
