Broken valve spring
This is my first time doing it do I need to takeoff the serpentine belt and turn the crank and bring the valves all the way up ?
Or can I just put compressed air in the cylinder and change it?

It's probably best to have it at true TDC for a couple of reasons. 1) At true TDC, the pressure won't try to turn the crank. Trust me, it WILL be enough to make the engine turn over. 2) Maybe less likely, but at BDC, the piston could rock and the ring seal won't hold air as well. 3) If at true TDC, if you drop a valve by accident, you can't drop it far enough to be unable to retrieve it. If you were at BDC, you'd be pulling a head.

First time I replaced valve springs in LS, I discovered that the shop air valve was closed: zero airflow to cylinder.
I had done 3 cylinders, luckily I was at TDC on each, and the valve seals were tight, none of the valves dropped... the next 5 cylinders I set regulator down at 40 PSI..
The next 2 valve spring changes I DID replace the seals, and used small air pressure, at TDC.

I agree, I did the same when I had one break on me years ago. Luckily for me, it broke while idling in my driveway. All that held it up was a flat wound damper.

Verdad Gallardo I am waiting on Parts. The springs was supposed to be here yesterday. The FedEx is delayed. I am going to change them all.I am just trying to get the car running. The springs are fairly new. They have around 8000 miles on them.

How much lift does your cam have? What brand springs? 8000 miles is pretty early to see a failure like that. Are you 100% sure you don't have any issues with coil bind?
