Engine ticking and turned off while driving

2006 Silverado 6.0 bored .30 over 222/226 cam 243 heads

got a rebuild on my 6.0 freshly bored new pistons and gaskets fresh out the shop took it on a 12hr drive cause it felt strong and 1hr away from my destination I starting hearing ticking got louder when I accelerate. 30 seconds later I heard a clashing sounds like if something broke in valve train. Engine completely turned off and wouldn’t start again. What are yall thoughts ? It was completely fresh rebuild with new gaskets and oil pump, new cam bearings completely NEW
lifters and rockers arms, push rods where not replaced

Pull the Valve Covers and start there.

Anytime using an aftermarket Cam it's a good idea to measure for correct Pushrod length.

This, probably broke or bent a stock pushrod, always need to measure pushrod length and get stronger aftermarket pushrods when installing bigger cams and stronger valvesprings

When I bought the cam kit from Texas speed it came with pushrods and value springs I’m gonna pull the valve covers and hopefully it ain’t something to serious

Then why does your first post say pushrods were not replaced? lol

either way still need to measure

Cause i use the same pushrods and springs that came with the cam kit i bought. checked it out it was barley low on oil tried to turn the crank manually and its locked up. Sending it back to builder cause he’s gonna warranty it and find out what happend exactly
