Default Cam help

I have a brand new Short Block with Zero Miles. Im looking to do a BIG CAM the car is not a dialy driver. I will be goign with a set of ported 5.3 heads What is the biggest cam i can go with out having to notch pistons for clearnace. I was thing the T-Rex cam but i herd it mite not work with the 5.3 heads

why is T-rex Out of the Question
I was looking to buy the Patriot Performace 5.3 heads but also mite buy the LS6 ones from them

trex is OOQ b/c of piston to valve clearence issues with 5.3 litre heads. on an unmilled head, as in stock, you shouldn't have any problems. if you get ls6 heads, just make sure they don't mill them at all. the t-rex has paper-thin PtV clearence as it is. you should also look into the magic stick cam from tsp. that should also make some wicked numbers. if you really want to run the 5.3 heads, you'll have to run a somewhat smaller cam. look into the 231/237 as P-Z said, o the G5X2. those both should fit, and still get you some nice numbers. not huge numbers, but still very decent.

derrr.....

this search **** is gettin crazy. its like an outbreak of mind-farts. people just get lazy or what? that search button needs to get outlined in a bright neon flashing color. just so people will remember its there.
