i am getting my car dyno tuned next week and i will be going to the track next week as well. so far my best trap speed is 110mph before ls6 intake, true duals, asp crank pulley and stock rev limiter with stock gears. now i have all of the mods above and i am gonna raise the rev limiter. however, i am still on stock 342 gears. what trap speeds should i see with stock heads? what is everyone's trap speeds with this set up?

With a better track and Nittos, I'm sure that I could run alot better.

my mods are in sig...im on a 114 lsa though...im untuned as of now but 385/375 to the wheels untuned wasnt bad...they usually dyno anywhere from 360-395...my traps went from 111 to 113.3 with a little practice and im still on street tires...best to date is 12.62@113.2 w/2.00 60'...stock goodyears. your trap should be a little higher but the 60 will effect that aswell...goodluck

ok so you went 12.6 @113. i went 12.84 @ 110 without asp pulley, ls6 intake, ported tb and i am also untuned. will i be able to pick up 3mph with a dyno tune, asp pulley, ls6 intake, true duals and weld pro stars??

well, not trapping according to your mods could mean an engine problem. i have seen cars trap what i am trapping with stock cams. i just worried, but ill dyno tune monday and i also have 3 other major mods so hopefully i can trap 113+ next time i go to the track. the ls6 intake and pulley alone should help and on top of that the tuning as well so i am aiming and hoping to trap 113-115mph.

With the weather we're having, don't expect to trap too well Jerry.
Last time out (a few weeks ago) I ran an 11.8 @ 118mph on a 1.79.
Comparing your new setup to runs done in Winter air would be better.

all i need now are m/t drag radials for my weld pro stars. i hope my belt tensioner doesnt go bad because of the crank pulley. i am really hoping to drop from 12.8 to at least a 12.3 or 12.4

Your best passes will come either very early (nice track prep), or late at night (cooler air). It kinda sucks that as the night progresses, the track prep goes to hell, so one can't make the best of both.
Last time out, I was the first guy there and got some decent launches. The air was horrible though (storm clouds and rain surrounding the track).

why are you trapping so high with a cam only? is it the lift on the tsp cam? does the size of the cam dictates how high you trap? i am still yet to see a car in here with my cam who traps that high up there.

Right now, I'm trapping horribly for a heads/cam setup.
Last Winter, I trapped 118mph with stock heads (but my 60' was worse).
Apples for apples, a 231/237 is definately gonna make more mph than a 224 cam.
