Is 2.05 on the intake too much?

I want to turn the car into a nice street/strip car with all the bolt on's. I would like to be in the mid 400 rwhp range running low 11's. The cam i was thinking of running is a F11 cam.

then yes 2.055 is too big
if your getting a killer deal on them though then i'd do it...but you will loose some low end power and torque. however if you ever go with a stroker or something later on they will work great. consider it getting ready for the big one

i'm considering using 2.05 intake valves this spring when i look into heads, probably on stg2 ls6's. these will be on my 346 for a while, then possibly be reworked for a larger bore. they will work for the standard 3.9 bore as long as the porter knows this going into the project, and everything is matched well enough. give TEA a call....

i was told that the 2.05 will not hurt power but the gain in flow is minimal .....maybe
1-5 cfm differance..... its the porting that can hurt you, not the valves.

2.055 is what most of the top head offerings are using now. With a larger bore (4.XX they typically will go up to a 2.08 to 2.10 valve depending on bore size/application)
Certain S2 designated heads are using 2.02 but most of the all out heads seem to be coming with the 2.055
Personally I would not go smaller than 2.055 on the intake.
