(need help) Picking a cam for LS1 3rd gen
I am using stock exhaust manifolds/gutted cats from a 2001 fbody, borla ypipe and catback system. I have stage 2 ported heads 2.02/1.57 valves, with comp 918 spring, titainium retainers, LS2 intake/fuel rail/injectors 32#, and fast 90mm TB. What would be a good cam for this set-up? Also my car is a automatic and I will be using a TCI 4000 stall, 3.42 gears. This is for my 3rd gen LS1 85 Trans Am. (need help)
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

All that with "stock exhaust manifolds" seems like a bit of a waste. I would get a set of LT before you get a bad HP number and light the car on fire. I would also recommend a set of gears depending on the cam you go with.

I have talked to Bruce at Hawks several times, the headers you see on the website were special made they are not in production. He told me to keep checking back, but in the mean time I just have to go with what I have.

Damn that sucks. I hope my buddy building my car didn't make a story up to keep me happy because I was I would have a set on the way. Did you happen to get a price if you had Bruce make a set?
