how many miles on your LS1??
i was just wanting to know about what you guys think of over 100k miles on an LS1. all i have done to mine is a flowmaster exhaust, and a K&N filter. i was wanting to maybe put a cam in it in the spring, but my dad says it would be a waste of time on a motor that old. i think it was well taken care of, and i take care of it most of the time, i only get on it when a rustang wants some lol. my car is also an A4 with 2.73 rear. it ran a best of 13.70 at 102 at the track, so i know that gears would help, but i am goin to lincoln tech this summer, and dont want to kill my gas mileage. i was just wanting some suggestions from some LS1 guys on what i should do. i plan on getting an 01 or 02 M6 when i get out of Lincoln Tech, but anyways, just wondering what you guys thought about a cam install......

171XXX,
Parts replaced because i had too......
EGR x2
PowerSteering Pump (just because a line on the bottom rubbed a hole in itself on the alternator, should have changed it sooner)
Oil Pump change at 166XXX miles
AC Compressor
Both Head Light motors (replaced w/ Brass Gears after flipping them)
WaterPump x2 (first relplacement only lasted a week)
Foglights (x4)
Headlights (x2)
Electric Antenna
Radio (went w/ aftermarket after the display went out)
and of course tires and brakes/rotors

Modifying in college is tough to do, but if you're smart about it it's pretty rewarding... My advice is that if you're gonna do it, don't use your credit card. Pay cash or check
