That thing sounds mean as hell. I'll try to post up a clip tommorow of my car with the same cam and a cut-out. Why don't we make this a cam sound-clip thread?

Get it up, like here what it sounds like with a cut out.

I don't know about more tuning. The only things I can tell are: 1) It drives 99% better than it did before tuning, and 2) the air-fuel ratio was an almost perfect 13-1 across the board.

I drive it daily, yeah it does suck, got almost 10,000 miles on the cam so far. Still alive and well.

I put it in my only car. I can't tell for sure yet due to very limited seat time on anything but interstate, but I think i'll be able to live with it just fine. Anytime it does something bothersome I'll just stop and listen to it idle or remind myself of it's power and all will be forgiven. There is still some minor surging and idle hunting in some circumstances but nothing that can't be easily avoided. Plus I think it might learn itself out a little over time. If you can deal with the minor quirks of a big cam, and can get a professional tune, a big cam is okay in a daily driver IMO. I don't put too many miles on mine (only 23k in 3.5 years so far) so valvetrain upkeep isn't too much of a concern for me. If I went 15k+ miles a year I would have gone smaller with slower ramp rates.

Mine is artificially low. My freshmen year of school I only had it there for about three weeks. (no parking for freshmen and I didn't want to leave it the places I could find for it) And even last winter I left it home from Thanksgiving to spring break, with the nittos on, so you know it didn't go anywhere then either. I used my girlfriend's car last year and just didn't have one freshmen year. It is only at 55k miles right now.

Not bad. Back to the cam my surges a little bit. I need to retune it, I want 430rwhp and the best under the curve. I'll see when I get the money.

Mine still surges a little too, but I just had it tuned today. Did yours get at all better after a time? If not I am just going to have a little surging I guess.

It got a little better but I had the car tuned with 3.42 and stock clutch. Now I got 4.10 and Spec 3. It ran a little different with the new set up. I'm going to have Alan Futral retune it.

how hard do you have to rev this cam? how does it seem down in the lower rpms as far as just driving around town? i'll have 3.73s so that should help it some. i'm torn between this cam and the 233/239 now and can't seem to decide which one suits my requirements better, i chang my mind about every half hour on what cam to run.

It's fine around town, but the cam really opens up past 3,500rpms. This cam and some AFR 205cc heads will be a killer setup. Atleast 450+rwhp. Let the MS3 take u under the wing.
