Would your Torquer or 233/233 fit with .030 milled heads? I would think if this cam might fit, the other two would? Also why go with the 918's? Isnt this cutting it close with the lift?

With proper valve geometry, 918's are good till .625 lifts.
I run them on my XER .581 lobes no problem yet.

I want to see how this cam would do on the track w/4000+ stall converter, maybe some 3.73 gears on a good sticky tire.

Gotta love those guys at TSP always coming out with new better stuff, making the competition dropping their jaws trying to catch up

Thanks for all the support everyone!! Sorry for being so slow replying! This camshaft has better p/v than a torquer cam does. That being said if I was to try a cam with heads cut .030 it would be the 233/239. If heads have been decked you always want to check p/v!!

Jason,

Would this cam work with 6.0L/LS6 59CC Patriots? If so, what valve size and valvetrain would you recommend? On a 02 6 speed what rear gears and clutch would you recommend?

On a side note, why has TSP stopped selling Patriots? I have sent TSP (I believe it was mailed to you) some questions last week about this cam and have not received a reply (My email address is Rotc292648@aol.com). I understand that you guys are probably over your heads in work being the holiday season and all but I would like to get my order in before Christmas. Can't beat $310!

As far as I know you have to pull a head, put some clay on a piston, reinstal the head, rotate the engine 2 full revolutions at least, pull the head and measure the thinest valve impression in the clay in relation it the piston.

Claying is quite innacurate, the only true way to do it is using a dial indicator.
You'll need:
1- Dial indicator kit
2- lightweight springs
3- modified hydraulic lifter
3- The knowledge to do it (LOL)

Sorry for the delay guys! Clay is a very bad idea! Follow the test spring way.

The camshaft made 393rwhp in a unlocked 3500 stock head car yesterday!! I'll try to post the graph asap!

I think I replied to all the IM's guys! Sorry for the delay!

That is the cam I ordered... Hope I can make mine quieter....
