Default TSP 228/224 Cam Info?

Has anyone run this cam on a 114?
How did it perform?
Idle characteristics?

Nevermind, I thought you were asking about the 224/228 114LSA which I want to run for an ATI procharger.

sounds similar to my cam

228/224 114 With no advance it will be a high reving cam, idles fine at 850 rpm

Not looking for a high RPM cam as I want power under the curve and a daily driver street car, not drag. Looking for a 1800-6000 range cam.

TSP probably grinds some advance into their cam which will bring the rpm band down a bit. Switching to a 112 LSA with 1 or 2 degrees advance would give a lower powerband.

If you really want a meaty midrange, consider something like a 224/220 111 with 0 advance. A 224/220 112 with 1 degree advance would also give a pretty strong mid-range with the same overlap as 228/224 114.

I have the TSP228R 112+2. By 6000 RPM the power levels off and stays the same to 6500, idles great with a tune, I would have thought about a bigger cam if I knew how well this one drives, but I am very happy with it.
