.222 Comp Cam
Anyone know anything about this cam as far as specs. All I know is that it's a .222 Comp Cam. I eant to figure out my comp. ratio but everyone wants to know the specs of my cam and I don't know! Is this a good cam? Could I go bigger with stage 2 heads and a 3500 stall? Please help if you can!

It is probably the c1 hammer cam. 222/222 .566/.566 lift and mine was on a 112 lsa . great little cam and probably great for an auto car with mild converter. I have gone 11.60 @119.39 mph with mild localy ported heads that only flow a max of 257 cfm's @ .600 lift int 219 exh @ .600. 10.5/1 compression and mac headers . car weighed 3650 on the 11.60 pas on et streets and at this years thunder shootout on 17 inch wheels all the way around with the 315x35x17 Nittos ran 11.67 at 118.89 mph with at 1.70 60 ft. at 3726 lbs.
I went to the fm13 cam to get more lope and a little more power as this is a every other weekend car. so far untuned it has already gone 11.56 with the cam swap.

I dont know the port volumes but I can assure you that the runners are untouched. The bowls have work done and the valves were changed out for 2.02 ferrea 's(spelled wrong) so that the porter could get a better cut on the valve angle.
I wanted them to flow better but for $600 I cant complain. He told me he could have easily got more flow but he is old school and likes small runners for tq.
stock exh valves by the way

That cam is a great performer.Iran 10.90swith it in our daily driverwith a Yank ST3500 stalland 3.23 gears.The heads were MTI S2s and flowed302 @ .600.
The car weighed in at 3450ish.
Yeah we did have great air and a good hooking track, but it would turn low low11s all day long with no drivability issues.
It's just hard to beat

Call any of the sponsors: Texas Speed, Thunder Racing, MTI, Futral, etc..... --------->
They'll match a cam to your needs/ stall/ gears.
I presume you've done all your bolt-on mods already?

fm13 is what I upgraded to. WIll be getting it tuned next week by Futral but for now untuned it already matched the mph of the hammer and went a tad bit quicker 11.60 best with hammer and 11.56 with fm13. all passes the day I ran with the fm13 were 11.56, 11.58, and 11.62.
I would say it is consistently quicker with the same mph untuned. more midrange and when tuned , I look to go another 1-2 mph higher

You may gain a tiny bit more than a couple mph.
