I just ordered my new cam (TSP 233/239)
Well, everybody, after a somewhat drawn-out process, I've just bought my new cam. So, what did I finally decide on? A TSP 233/239. I got that and some Comp Cams 918's. I always had the Torquer in the back of the mind and figured that since Jason recommended this over the Torquer, saying it put down better power and was streetable and worked with 918's, that it was the cam for me. And that damn torque curve sucked me in...over 350 lbs/ft from 3000RPM on up! I am SO excited and it may be a while until I get it installed, so I'm getting very impatient. I think I'm one of the first with this cam, which is cool as hell. I will let you all know how everything goes. Thanks for all the support, everyone. I couldn't ask for better people to talk to.

wow man congrats, i really cant wait to get mine. u say it works with the comp 918's even tho its over .600 lift? are u using stock retainers or what? jw, why u chose 918's over duals that aren't much more.

If your going anywhere close to .600 lift I wouldnt get comp 918's hands down. Go with some nice Manley Duals...Ive heard of too many 918 springs breaking and be careful since your cam is already over .600 lift...

As for stall, if I were you guys, I would choose a stall that matches my shift extentions to my shift points.
I would think at least a 4000+ stall (expl: YPT 4400)

Our Patriot Gold springs are a direct drop in with no machining required. Our kit comes with EVERYTHING you need. Gold .650" springs, machined spring bases, super 7 locks, viton rubber seals, and ti retainers for only $279.50

That's the setup i went with...it's a perfect compromise between the PRC duals, and the 918's

lol, im on the gas, a 4400 stall would put lose me time on a 150 shot over say a 36-3800 prolly.

a 3800 with 150rwhp and tq vs a 4400.... no thanks ill keep my gas
would much rather stick with a smaller stall and 3.73 and nitrous, then 4400 and 4.10 gear and no nitrous.

I just received my 233/239 from tsp. i'll be installing it on friday and saturday morning so i'll let you know my impressions. FWIW the coil bind on a 918 doesn't even occur until about .750 as tested by itchygomey98. Just with the XE-r lobes i'd prefer a double spring. I went with the prc duals and they look really well made. good luck with your car.
