Default HPE S Cam, MS3, TSP 233/239?

I cant decide between thses cams which i want in my car. Which will perform better and get better track times? I am not worried too much about slight driveablity problems b/c i dont think they will be that bad with any of the 3. I just want a cam that will get the better times. not peak power.

Thanks

Kyle

I would go with one of the TSP cams, simply because I have seen more results from those 2 cams.

I can't comment on the TSP grinds because I haven't used them or know anyone personally that's used them.

I've got the S-Cam in my 383. I'm still working through some tuning issues, but overall, the S-Cam is a bad ***. As you can see from the dyno the S-Cam has a lot under the curve. I've watched HPE dyno a few 346's and they have very similar curves.

Personally,
i think it's a toss up between the S cam, and the ms3 cam...both i would bet are gonna have really similiar power, and dyno graphs....either on of these will, with a good tune, outperform a 233/239 cam...

That's your decision...are you on stock intake and heads still???

i like the 233/239, let me tell u why... m6 or auto, bc u said u want better times not peak power.. i think the 233/239 is prollly going to have better lowend and lay some good et's down and drive better on the street. i dont think ur going to give up that much peak and the 233/239 is going to pull strong from anywhere by the looks of the graph.

I'd just go 233/239. with a set of heads you'd be putting down pretty much the same numbers that TA Quickness did with his 383 torque included. a set of the prc's or AFR's would easily get you there with that cam

Im just looking for better times. IV still got stock 98 heads and ls1 intake. I plan on gettin some AFR 225s and Fast 90/90. So its gonna be a while before those. Im gonna do the cam first. Then the intakes and tb then the heads. Hmm sounds like its almost a toss up between the cams.

Thanks

Kyle

i'd wager your tires and suspension will have a bigger effect on your E.T then your cam decision.

all of the above cams will be choked like **** from the 98 heads and ls1 intake. your probably looking at ~210cfm @.600.

With stock heads and Ls1 intake....you will make no where near the power gains those cams are capable of. Keep bolting on before stepping up to a cam that size...
