Exclamation Did MTI send me the wrong cam?

I ordered a cam with the specs being 237/242 duration with 603/609 lift on a 113 LS. But Comp Cams sent me a 236/242 duration with 601/610 lift on a 113 LSA. They also sent me single springs but i think it was suppose to come with duals for a bigger lift cam? Did they send me the wrong cam and springs or am I a retard? I'm not tryin to bash comp or mti, i just want to know what went wrong. I included some pics.

Every cam is dif. It is only .001 off. That is vary minut.

As for the springs. Do a search. Some singles are rated to go to high lift.

It is not the lift that gets you it is the deration.
I could put a 3 inch lift on a cam and run a stock deration and never see the piston.

It just went from 609 to 610.

My LPE cam was supost to be a 228/228/588/588 114 but it was a 228/228 590/590 114

Just call David Coates, real stand up guy to deal with at MTI. If there is a problem, he will fix it.

I think you are gonna need the 221426-16 Manley dual springs.
But yes give david a call an he will clear up everything.

No two cams are the same for a given part number. That's why they supply a cam card.

The specs he posted for his cam are the same as those specs you posted so I would assume it's the same cam.

Just call David and let him talk to you. I would go double springs to be safe! Good Luck! Those specs are close to my Y1 from MTI!

Comp dosen't have a 237 lobe, so they ground the 236. Lunati grinds the MS3 and they have diffrent lobes than comp. The number diffrences are going to make no diffrence. It would be more trouble to send it back. I would get dual springs though. XE-R lobes are rough.

Julio,

Tried to call you back on the cell # you gave me, but couldn't get through. Please call me at the shop tomorrow and we'll discuss.

Thanks and best regards,

David
