Well they do offer them in stock sizes if you call the number on the ad. I am running the combo with out any problems FYI. But if you still don't want it you can get a set of Weisco's from Polydyne for like $525 coated Ceramic domes and antifriction coating on the skirts. The rods I would probably recomend for a budget the Manely's. Good luck. Oh and the guy on the Ebay deal will sell you just the pistons if you call him so that is another option.

We sell Diamond Pistons and Callies Comp Star rods. The rods are LS1 specific and they are very good quality.

If you have any questions give us a call.

Thanks

Yes. I prefer Mahle, JE, or Wiseco. CP is nice too, but so is the price. Ross and Diamond make good pistons as well. Pistons are another part where you don't always get what you pay for, but you never get what you don't pay for.

For a budget there are several possibilites. Virtually all of the engine builders on this board will sell some combination. They are usually Chinese/offshore cast and US machined. The Callies/Diamond is one such combination. I think Crower has another. And there are Eagle and SCAT rods. I think the Mahle pistons may be in that range also.

Complete short blocks with these parts and a reworked stock crank I believe are under $3000k assembled.

Probe make a good I-Beam rod, and a nice forged piston. Both are shelf stock items, which means no waiting in most cases.

Piston 354gms Flat top. +.010” out of the hole on std deck.

Rods I beam 560gms Ultra lite

Very competetively priced

All of this is on the shelf.

PM me if you need more info on them. I don't know which of the sponsors carries Probe, but I know some non-sponsors that do, so I can't and won't be posting pricing, or who to buy them from.

The only savings would be the cost of the assembly labor. That is what you would be saving.
