Re: TR 224, how can you tell?
Mine had something like thunder 22422412 on the end of it. Sorry I didn't pay that much attention to it. If you have one you will know by what it says on the end though. It will clearly state that it is a thunder 224 cam and the last number(s) will have something to do with the LSA.

Call Thunder or email Jason. The one I got from Thunder and it had a different number and didn't say TR224 or Thunder or anything like that. Jason is very helpful and will let you know if is one of theirs.

Since Thunder usually uses Comp grinds, you'll probably see the number 3722 on the end of the cam twice. This indicates the 224 .581" Comp XE-R lobe.

If we used a Comp 3722 lobe which has .581 lift, can you please explain to me why our cam has .561 lift?? Our cams are custom and proprietary to us. Again we don't not use someone elses lobes and call them our own.
Geez if you don't know the 100% correct answer to someones post just don't post back.
Ed LS1 Vert: Just give us a call with the serial number off the back of the cam and we can tell you if it's one our our cams and get you a cam card for it. Hope this helps...

Re: TR 224, how can you tell?
Thanks Paul, what worries me is the serial number does match the box. But I can't tell if it was done by you guys or the person I bought it from.

Geez, sorry, I was just trying to help, theres much nicer ways of correcting someone's mistake. For whatever reason, I thought you guys did use Comp grinds.
I stand corrected.

Re: TR 224, how can you tell?
It just eerks me the amount of misinformation people are more then happy to give out as the gospel. People that aren't sure of the facts they are giving out should just stay quiet and let someone who know the correct facts answer. I will be the first to step up and say "i don't know" instead of giving out an answer I don't know to be correct just so I sound like I know everything. You look a whole lot dumber with some off the wall nonsence when it comes out that you were totally wrong then you do by not saying anything. This doesn't just relate to this topic but to many other tech related topics I've seen over the years. This one just hit a little closer to home.
Maybe you see where I'm coming from, maybe not. Sorry if I seemed unprofessional but I'm a firm believer in tell it like it is and not just what someone wants to hear. I don't think I was rude, just to the point.

Re: TR 224, how can you tell?
I'm guessing he posted because he thought his answer was correct, and not speculation. Which would make sense because the two cams are similar numerically. It really doesn't matter, you just didn't have to get so aggrivated.
Anywho, I hope I will soon be ordering my TR224 112LSA cam from you guys soon. Just waiting to get my long tubes, and research a bit more. Talk to you soon,
Rob
