Well I gave Mike a call at High Flo twice this week to set something up for Saturday(today) and got no response. At this point in time I'm going to put the heads back up for sale. The next 3 weekends will be out of the question due to my buddy's bachaelor party and wedding. The numbers on these heads have been already given by LPE and an independent test by J-Rod to confirm them. I'm sorry we couldn't do the test, but I can't wait any longer.

Thanks for the effort anyway Jason, it sucks because I know alot of people are watching this thread.

If anybody is interested in seeing the actual numbers on this pair of heads VS. our advertised numbers, we would be willing to throw them on the flowbench and give you some numbers. It only takes a few minuetes.

Maybe Ed can post this, but I currently have LS1 heads, and am thinking about the GM LS6 heads.. How much gain is there from your CNC ported ones vs the out of the box LS6 ones? Is getting them ported for the extra $500 worth it?
Thanks..

I would say the ported head are worth roughly 25-30 over a standard LS6 head. Your total gain will depend on the cam, intake, and most iportantly, tuning.

Hope this helps,
Ed

The real sin here is the fact that they want $365 to ship those heads to you. It drives the price to $2,257.20 How much for LPE to cnc if I buy a set of ls6 blanks and ship them to you? I just had a set of heads shipped to me for $50. $365 is stupid.

That sounds like a lot, if you're in the continental USA I agree, it shouldn't cost more than $50

If you send us a set of core LS6 heads it would cost $1,895.00 to get the stage II CNC port job, including new S/S valves,Comp 918 springs,Valve job, decking, setup and assembly. The benefit here is that you could have the heads decked a little less to lower the compression. The GMPP heads will give you roughly 11.1-11.3 on a stock shortblock.

If you want to PM me with some details, I'll get you a set of the GMPP heads for a normal shipping amount.

Hope this helps,
Ed

Hi Ed
I have GMPP ported LS6 heads which I believe you folks do the work for GM. I have two simple questions; what stage is the GMPP LS6 heads - Stage 1, 2,etc? The second question is what cam would you recommend with the LS6 ported heads? I am currectly using the LS6 cam but I think I want to change it to a better one. I apprecaite the help.
Thanks
Bill

Hi Bill

Your GMPP heads are pretty comparable to our stage I heads, since they use a stock valve, and no additional hand work. If you want an improvement over your current ZO6 cam, I would suggest our GT2-5, specs are 222/222 .566/.566 112 We don't install a lot of them here, but with a custom tune, it should make a very nice improvement over your current setup.

Hope this helps,
Ed

Ed, since I started this thread, I want to give all those interested my info on my gains. My engine made 390 r.w.h.p. with a stock pulley, and stock throttle body. 7.5 rearend with 3:42 gears. Here's my dyno graph with the mods in my signature. These heads are the best bang for the buck. And my cam FM11 is a small cam in todays LS1 standards,
228/230 @ .50 .581/.591.

Also this is through a 12 bolt with 4:10's.
