Default Cam install $$$

How much does it typically cost for a cam and valvespring swap?

I just got quoted over $700 for a cam and valvespring swap over here at Norris Motorsports in Orlando and almost fell out of my chair.

I think $700 is about average. I've heard anything from $600 to $1000. Now you know one reason so many people do it themselves.

That sounds pretty good, as long as the shop knows what they're doing.

Mike Norris may not be the cheapest around, but the quality of his work is excellent. I've been going to him for the last five years, he has done all the work you see below in my profile.

Do it yourself and put the money you saved into more mods. It's really not that bad if you use JMX's install guide and search this website.

Where are you located though? Do you have a shop or do this at home?

That price seems perfectly reasonable. I got quoted $500 once by people I wouldn't trust, and I got quoted like $2000 or so by a dealership (without parts included).

This is the man to go to. He done mine and alot of the guys around our area. You can't beat the price and the customer service is the best. Like he said there are numerous threads in the Souther Section praising their work.

That's a long drive from Orlando to Atlanta area.
