Metal-dragging-on-concrete sound when accelerating

Metal-dragging-on-concrete sound when accelerating When I go from a dig in my car, just normail stoplight city driving, from 0-2000 rpms i can hear this sound from the car that sounds like taking a piece of sheet metal and dragging it behind the car. once the car gets over 2000 rpms, the sound goes away instantly. this continues when i shift into each gear.
when the clutch pedal is depressed, or the transmission is in neutral, and i give it a little gas, there is no sound
it is a 99 z28 M6 with no mods except !FRA
any ideas? i have not noticed any power loss, but it is just annoying

you know come to think about it i had my trans rebuilt about a year ago and the shop didnt bolt the passenger side tunnel brace tight enough and the damn bolt fell off while i was driving!

i installed my catback today and there was no damage on the driveshaft from rubbing or anything else. it looked damn near brand new
so now i am thinking maybe it is something in the cats rattling around?
