Lou, what is the compression ratio of these LS6 heads used on your test car?

What valves are you using?

First off, Congrats to Lou and Louis on a job well done. I think that is most peak and power under the curve of any H/C/I LS1 I have seen Very nice indeed. I think something else you forgot was that the bottom end in that car has had some time on it as well. So its not like it was a brand new motor. I know Louis drives that car from Texas to Purdue and around town and it was fine with the first G5x cam in it. I'm sure this one will get plenty of testing as well on it.

To all of those bitching about specs, will you stop and listen to yourselves? I mean come on, sure it would be nice to know what the specs are but there are guys that build motors in their own garage that will not post what they have. Lou is doing this as a buisness, its how he feeds himself and his family. By telling everyone on the planet what he does and how he does it that would be like taking away his job, or if nothing else a big pay cut. Do you bitch when Dale Jr. doesn't go run around telling everyone what the specs are on the #8 Bud car? NO. Hell GM doesn't go and post up the specs on the stock cams in most of its motors, at least not for a few years after they have been out. If you want to whine, fine, if you want whats turning out to be one hell of a bad *** package...then call and talk to Lou. I'm sure he will talk to you about it.

This is a free country, if he doesn't want to give details...he doesn't have to

Props to Lou for standing up!

Lou is probably one of the most accomplished and recognized racers in the industry among all the sponsors listed and people are giving him the third degree as if he just fell out of the sky.

That is DEFINITELY the LS1 net crowd for you! You guys would rather believe an unknown user who claims majical results than an industry leader. This kills me.

It's no wonder that few if any sponsors themselves actually post! MTI learned early in 98 and just got a whipping boy for themselves to do all the jaw flapping. Most other sponsors don't even bother. And the few news ones that do, quickly learn and stop.

Heck, you don't even see users (members) post any free mods anymore or even pictures of their mods because most of them know it'll quickly be taken and made into a product. This was an easy less back in 98 when Mr. Joe Kizzare took a FREE LS1 thermostat mod and profited from it.

great reply 9-ball!

it is not a magical cam spec at all. it is in the dyno and the tune. i really doubt LGM would put out a product (here a dyno graph) without fully optimizing the combo. again, like tony said, the few of us that really know and have been around this sceeen of racing know it is about the combo. i like many, dont jump the bandwagon on the new magic cam out. there seems to be one every 6 months, then when the 99/100 people that buy it and cant reproduce the numbers of a tuners car and never post get upset, a new cam combo comes out and everyone praises it.

all in all, the B1-style (no i dont buy into tuner spec cams - i will order a comp grind 221. you have to be on crack to order a comp grind and pay more than 399 at this point) is still the best all around HP making cam and only looses a few RWHP over the big thumper cams. a few of us still believe in the non-tuner cams.

got to love dyno racing

LGM, as a business man, i fully understand your keeping your specs secret. internet junkies, just wait a little while. they will be out for us on thet net. no biggie.

Lou said it was a normal split so there can only be a couple of choices.

Weither its LS1 or LT1 doesn't really matter. I saw the car on the lift and it does have a GM steel shaft in it.

Well I know when Louis came to up here in the fall it still had the program in it for the solid roller motor that he never put in it, and I thought he said the computer was locked so he couldn't get into it with out blanking it out and he didn't want to do that. So I don't think they ever touched it. So what ever it had for that combo is what it has for a tune......not what it is currently running....so I'm pretty sure there is a little bit more left in it still

SO Im guessing he said that it was fenitely a 6 degree split? There can be many otehr variations of an exhaust favored split

Lou never said it was a 6 degree split but considering the intake vs exhaust efficiency of a ported LS1/6 head that is the max I would imagine anyone would use. Anything really less than a 6 degree split wouldn't be worth it. If I am incorrect please correct me.
