Default So my valves and pistons must've fell in love

I am in the middle of a H/C swap and found their affair. It had to have been from a SERIOUS mechanical overrev when I missed 4th one time. I rolled the pushrods and their as straight as can be. Don't know about the valves but I'm not concerned. The car sounded completely normal so I don't suspect any shortblock damage.

Oh the humanity...the carnage....

Have you done comp checks on your cylinders? I bet you have valves that are slightly bent and leaking pressure out, sometimes its hard to see a small bend.

Nah, I've got new heads anyway....I'll do a baseline comp check after running in the new combo though.

Of course, of course.

I may end up flycutting the pistons anyway. From every report the X1 cam is close. I'll see how close when I clay it.
