Default 233/239 Track Results

Here's my dyno results if anyone cares to see the graphs or anything

https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-internal-engine/280568-233-239-results-question.html

Car details:
2001 A4
Finish Line Performance LT Headers
3" X pipe w/ spintech twister muffs dumped
ASP Pulley
Home Ported Throttle Body
Whisper Lid
Smooth Bellow
TCI SSF 3500
3.73 Gears
Stock LS6 Intake
Stock Water Pump
Stock 241 Heads
Suspension:
BMR LCA's
BM Sway bar
Stock TA
Tuned by HPE
400.6 rwhp / 352.3 rwtq (locked)
381.6 rwhp / 322 rwtq (unlocked)

Stock trim (minus back seat) t-top car w/ full tank of gas and my 200 lb fat *** in it. (Read heavy)

Car was run at HRP (Houston) on Friday the 25th. Don't know what the DA was but the air felt pretty good to me.

60': 1.65
1/8 ET: 7.58
1/8 Trap: 90.28
1/4 ET:11.92
1/4 Trap: 113.6
Before cam I was 12.7 @ 108 w/ 2.0 60'.

Honestly I was expecting a little better (11.7 or so) but I'm not too disapointed. I realize I am pretty understalled and think I would gain 3 tenths at least by stepping up to a 4000+ stall. I'm still undecided if I'm going to stay NA though so I'm holding off on that. Trap speed seems a little slow too me but I'm not too concerned w/ that being it's an A4.

Guys w/ similar mods (especially similar cam) post up your NA quarter mile times and let me know where I stand.

i had tunning isues causeing my car to fall on its face when it went into 2nd gear, but i still pulled a 12.2 at 111 mph, but that was on a 1.8 60 ft... i know it had WAY more in it though if i could have figured out the problem.. but i have the same cam, same stall, but stock 3:23 gears.. i just got my new heads put on last night and am planning on some 3:73's and a 4000-4200 stall.

you should be able to do that with just bolt ons and tuning. you should be trapping at least 116/117. a friend of mine makes the same power has a stealth cam, .581 lift i believe its a 224 square cam, has a yank 3600, and 2.73's and has gone as fast as 11.4 to give you a comparison.

oops just caught that you ran with a full tank of fuel, WTF were you thinking? That's probably your missing et and mph right there.

Those numbers aren't great. A cam that size should be trapping 116-7, can a full tank really cost that much mph?

That's interesting. My car is pretty close to that. Cam is 3-4* larger (MS3), no pulley, no LS6 intake, 3.23's, and stock suspension minus front sway bar. Everything else is pretty equal. Before the cam/TB I ran 12.6 @ 106.5 with a 1.73 60' on ET streets. What did you dyno before the cam? Was the recent dyno run made with the converter locked or unlocked?? I made 319/337 through unlocked stocker converter, and then 343/348 through unlocked SSF. I havn't ran since the cam, but hopefully will hopefully get a chance within the next week. I am hoping I run about what you did, 11.7-11.99, but I am really unsure what will really happen.

I'm wondering the same. I could see a full tank of gas costing 1 mph over an empty tank.
I know there's more people with this cam! Let's see some times.

Before cam it was:
345/352 locked
325/338 unlocked (I think)

Both the locked and unlocked #'s with the cam are in the first post I think or definitley in the link to the dyno thread.

My bad, the numbers are there I just didnt see them. We had a 4rwhp/1rwtq and one tenth of a second difference before the cam, though I needed an 0.3 second advantage in the 60'. And now I am hoping to run at least what you did after cam, but you make almost 40 rwhp more than me! (surely attributed to my stock LS1 intake and stock pulley)

That full gas tank is adding an easy 85 pounds. That is almost enough to give a tenth/mph gain.

theres something wrong there.
your 60' is .35 better now than before the cam.
yet you are .8 faster. given the same launch with your setup before the cam you would have been within a tenth or 2 of where you are now.

I went low 1.7's before the cam, and plan to go a bit quicker than that now. With an automatic it's really not all that hard on the rear.

Yeah I pull 1.72's on All season radials BFG KDWS. 1.47 on BFG Comp TA

Your times do seem low with that cam. maybe its your tune that you shifting out of you power band or dropping below it?

I think part of it the understalled thing. Shift extension is only 4900-5000. Shift points are 1-2 6800 & 2-3 6700. HP peaked at 6500, so I could probably take it out a little farther but am kinda scared to.
