Default Ordered my cam...round 2 (TR236)

Hey everyone. I ordered a TSP233/239 back in January but returned it, convinced that I needed to save up money to move in with my now ex-gf. Good thing I didn't do that....in case you read my post about my St. Patty's day fight, where a guy pushed my ex, I went after him, and then she drove off with him, well yeah, that's her. Anyway, since I've come to my senses and realized that I am NOT living with her, it's time for a cam. This time around I chose the TR236. 236/230 duration, .602"/.575" lift, on a 112 LSA. I think this should work very well with my 3500 stall and 3.73's. I liked the numbers the TR230 put down in various cars I have seen, I've always been a fan of reverse splits, and I wanted to go with a fairly large cam, so this was my choice. I cannot wait, my car's going to make me very happy this summer.

When it's all installed and ready to go...I'll let everyone know how it is, since theres a gross lack of experience with this cam. I don't know how soon I'll get it dynoed, but I'll post up some SOTP experiences. I can't wait...however, TR informed me that it'll be 2 weeks wait for a new grind, but that's fine with me...very nice people to work with. A+++

I was thinking about those, actually. Oil pump...ported LS6. Didn't think about the timing chain though.

No I got the other TR236. Yours is a standard split with larger exhaust duration...(230/236), mine is a reverse split with larger intake duration (236/230), slightly higher lift as well.

Forgive my relative ignorance, but what is the advantage of swapping it out.

Good luck with your new setup. Post some numbers when you get it done.

its stronger than the factory chain, fits the stock sprockets, and it will be NEW

you can get a double roller or somthing like that if you want, but lots of people call it overkill. the LS2's chain has thicker links than the ls1 but looks similar.
