I'd like to know how gas mileage(no smartass "WHAT'S GAS MILEAGE? AH-HAHA, AH-HAHA" comments, please) was affected, as well. I'll be choosing a cam over the summer, hopefully, and the F11 and F13 cams are looking nice.

I am very happy with the F13, in every way. I would have gone a little bigger, but at the time I was afraid of getting too big of a cam.
My mileage has stayed right 31 mpg on the highway.
Sound files in my sig...

Love mine......i regert not going bigger but then again I have not seen too many bigger cams out perform it so I am happy. Seems like FMS hit the sweer spot with this one. My gas milage is very poor right now. I have invalifd switching (SES codes) on both front 02s and have replacements waiting to go in.

Any cam is goin to affect gas mileage unless you get a Z06 cam.. aftermarket is for performance not gas mileage. LSA will usually determine how much overlap and how rich the cam will act. Therefore I would think a F13 will probably be just like my tr224 on gas mileage, its not killing me but the gas mileage has decreased from the stocker. Goes with the territory if your moding the engine dont expect gas mileage to stay the same. To make more power you will naturally need more GAS! hope this gives you a new point of view.

BTW: If you search, most f11 and f13 cams lose about 2-3 MPG on average, but most admit they have a problem keeping their foot out of it.

If gas mileage is going to keep you awake at night, I hear Honda is having great success with their hybrids, as is VW with their TDIs.

Most F13 owners seem to say they wish they would have gone a little bigger, would it be safe to say the F14 might be a little bigger?
Futral says they are actually very close, yet different. The F14 has a different lobe design and its powerband is about 200rpm higher.
Anyway, I already bought the F14...anxously awaiting my heads which are being meticulously massaged

I have no regrets with my cam. I mean why go bigger when i made the power i did. Its very streetable with 4:10 gears and the lope is nice for the size of the cam. In the city i averaged 14.5 mpg but i NEVER was easy on the car. I just couldn't help it. Never got on the freeway to get the highway mpg, but im sure if everyone i'll get what everyone else is getting. Its just a great all around street/strip cam IMO.
