it all depends on the tune for drivablity.. i'm running a g5x3 which is slightly bigger and its great in my daily so far.

only downside was going from 20 to 17mpg.. probably partially cause i have my foot in it more often

With a good tune, this cam feels right at home in my 346. Other than needing higher gears, 3.73's or 4.10's, this cam feels perfect for a DD.

Those that said they'd go a little bigger, why?

Ive heard some clips of the idle with a tune and the idle raised appropriately and I kind of wish it was a little lopier. owners, do you feel the same way?

Im trying to decide between the F13 and F14

The F14 drives fine for me,, but everyone was talking 10kinds of bullshit about how you cant drive a big cam under 2k rpms or that it would suck for a DD etc... I drive mine w/ 3.42s at 1600rpm down the highway in 6th with no problems...

yeah that is one of my concerns, I will be doing a lot of hwy driving, I have 3.89 gears so I guess it would even be slightly better. What does it do if you go lower though, like 1200? start bucking or something?

around 1200 in 5th it better be on flat ground....

it doesnt buck for me unless its 1300ish in 1st or 4th, other than that its fine.. i imagine with gears it wouldnt be as bad.

but is it similar to the stock cam power or is it even less powerful than stock at those rpms?

nothing horribly worse, a little more sluggish, but at those rpms it doesnt take alot of hp to keep the car moving..

The F13 cam suited me just fine. I actually wish I would have gone a little bigger. I have no driveablility issues whatsoever.

Default Hp Increase?

What kind of horsepower increase will I see with the F13 with my current setup? What should I expect to dyno? I am running around a 12.3 in the 1/4 mile under less than optimum conditions. What should this cam put me at? Will I be able to beat a stock Z06 from a roll? What about an 03 Cobra?

If you're running a 12.3 hanging with a Z06 shouldn't be a problem and you'll murder stock 03 Cobras. It's the modded ones you gotta worry about and a cam won't help you there LOL.

My car sucks from a roll... From a 30 roll I have taken down everyone that I have raced, but even if I race my buddies mostly stock 01 Z28 (vertigo on this board) he will pull pretty hard on me from a 60-100 race.

He runs 13.0 at 111
I am about 12.3 at 110

I would imagine a stock 03 Cobra would still pull on me from a roll? I beat an STi from a 40 roll the other day pretty bad, about a car length every 3-4 seconds.

I am assuming that the Cam is going to change things.

The car with the higher trapspeed will usually win from a roll.
