A switch from my Thunder Racing 230/224, and i'm looking for better driveability. Before yall start saying the F13 has badass driveability, can someone describe your typical cold startup / warm startup. What surging problems do you have, when its cold and when its warm. Whats the lowest rpm you can get it to idl.e at? In traffic when your coming to a light, what rpm does the car start bucking at in 4th,3rd,2nd? All these conditions when its got a good tune too btw, not on a stock tune.

With my tr230, at first I was saying the driveability was the same as stock. After driving it through almost every condition possible, I've noticed there are some areas where it doesn't have the stock driveability. And I'm looking for some basis to compare the driveability of the F13 to my tr230 other than "you can't beat the driveability of this cam".
Any detailed help is much appreciated!
Everything you are concerned about can be fixed with a good tune, that is the key.
Keep in mind I've tuned mine, I am not a pro but I think I do a good job.
Mine starts the same, 30degrees or 100degrees, cranks and fires right up, immediate idle is very smooth and not jumpy.
Once it is up to operating temperate mine idles at 900, I could probably get it down to 850 but I haven't taken the time to redo it.
At light throttle conditions(1-5%Throttle) and at 1500rpm in 4th/5th mine surges a little bit, I have been fiddling with the timing but I believe it is a fuel issue. It really isn't bad at all. I did daily drive mine for a while when my beater car broke.

Would you go with a 112 or 114 on a stalled A4? I am looking at getting this cam as well once I get back from Iraq as a welcome home present for me and the SS.

That statement is funny to me.

I have had both the F11 and F13 installed on my car. The F11 was a lot more tame due to the fact I had it on a 114 compared to a 112 for the F13. Both of these cams I have tuned myself and the F11 on the 114 was a lot more tame. I don't see either drive like a stock cam but they weren't that much different. Every once in awhile I will get a little surging down low but part of it is due to my driving style. Only way it surges is if I hold it at a certain RPM like in a parking lot and don't shift. I have found that with 4.11's both cams are livibable. Part of it is due to the tune the other is how you learn to drive the cars after the swap.

I wouldn't say my F13 is too big, but even with 114 lsa, it's pretty lumpy.

I just installed my cam like 2 days ago. F11 112LSA +4
The cam drives great at lower rpm's although the stock cam does better under 1400. That's right...the F11 is driveable from 1400+rpm LIKE STOCK and this is with my own tuning on Hp tuners. With a tune on a dyno i should see a slight increase in driveability and even lower rpm driveability. No surging here.

Can anyone tell me the diff in lope between a TSP 225/225 on 112 vs the F13 on 112? I know the overlap is a LOT different. 1 for the 225, 7 for the F13, and 9 for the F14. Someone chime in and let me know, I am picking between the F13 and F14 when the time comes this spring/summer.

Oh yeah, and I am NOT picking a cam based on lope either! I was just curious as how they compare to the lil 225, which I thought had a nice sound to it.

That's why I went with the F11. I did order the F13 on a 114 LSA at first, but decided on the F11 on a 112. More usable power down low.
