Cam Selection... 112 or 114 lsa with the nitrous?
I'm tring to choose a cam, I am going to continue to use nitrous and here is the cam that looks best to me so far.
Thunder Racing Custom Camshaft - 230/236 .590/.598 112 LSA 2400-6800 RPM Power Band. Excellent mid-range & high RPM power. 3200+ stall, 3.42+ gear
here are my Questions.
1. will the 112 lsa be ok with the nitrous? or will i have to do a 114... i really want the 112 cause i want it lopy!
2. with the above mentioned cam, will it be ok with the Comp Cams 26918 Valve Springs? id rather not spend the extra $ for dual springs If i don't have to.
my current mod list is.
| 2000 Trans Am Ram Air | M6 |
| !FRA | !Front sway bar | Lid | Jet Hot LT's | True dual exhuast with X pipe - billet mufflers | pro 5.0 shifter | BFG DR's |Spec Stage III clutch & billet steel flywheel| Eaton posi differential | 90 RWHP DryShot of N20 | LS1 edit tune |
I will also be getting some bigger injectors (not sure which ones yet) and another tune.
thanks in advance for any advice.

I agree with checking the nitrous section for truly knowledgeable advice. My semi-knowledgeable advice is to get the lower LSA. I think it will be fine. Look at a lot of hte larger cams that handle nitrous alright, like mine (MS3), they have a relatively large amount of overlap/low LSA.
Edit: Oh yes, for the first question. GET DUAL SPRINGS! It's just added insurance. THey will be less likely to break and if they do the valve will be much less likely to fall into the cylinder or be struck by the piston. There are some decent dual kits out there dirt cheap. The PRC duals being one of them.

You could get it straight up, no advance in the grind.
You will be limited on how big of a shot to run, that cam has a positive +9 degrees of overlap at .050.
Efficient levels will be ~150 wet (200 dry).
