conservative setup what do u think?
Why does he wants to waste his money on those heads and that cam? Smack him in the face and tell him to do some research for a better heads/cam combo.
Stay emission legal or not?
In general A4 mods start like this:
LID/FTRA, headers (LT or MID), ported TB/LS6 intake, STALL (torq Conv, 3500 min), then you go in the head/cam, option. (of course tuning along the way).
H/C suggestion: TR224, 112 lsa with TEA/MTI 5.3 heads 2.02 int/1.57 exh
pred- can he hit 400rwhp with a 224 cam?
fbody- does he need to be smog legal? in what state?

You might wanna watch how strongly you say things. I would be more than happy to show you how well the GMPP heads flow directly out of the box if you'd like.....

Judging by your sig, it seems your "combo" isn't exactly tearing up the track. My car trapped a better et, and MPH with bone stock internals....on street tires

As for the original question, 400rwhp out of a A4 is quite a goal to shoot for. Especially when emissions are a concern. I would think that setup, however, would pass emissions(depending on how strict they are), and would go into the 11's with a converter and some good tires. Best of all, that cam would be EXTREMLY light on the valvetrain, and the heads are setup to flow directly in coorelation with that cam's lift. It honestly would be a very strong setup. I doubt it'll hit 400rwhp in a A4 though. Best of luck to him!

We are talking Head /Cam,
I have Stealth II cam only + bolt ons (portmatched heads, no porting, LS6/918 valvetrain), .038 quench with Cometic .045
To make a story short 404rwhp/383rwtrq. In US I would be ~380+ (dynoed 299 bone stock)
Combo, combo, combo (matching + tweaking)

AFR 205's seem to be putting up great #'s on stock bottom ends consistantly.
Thats what I ordered, hopefully I'll have #'s in about a month

I am going with a bit bigger 228 230 cam though.
