Patroit performance
Did a head swap for zamboxl yesterday at my house.
He used PP heads and I snapped some pictures for everyone to see. Heads looked okay to me, he did say he touched up a couple small parts himself.

hey they might not be pretty but they got the job done. The car aint tune yet and it iddles like *** but i could feel a difference already, for sure. before the car felt heavy, now it feels like it just wants to go, i havent reved it up yet, taking it easy for now, but damn the rpm's climb pretty fast, and she pulls like crasy even from down low.

In their defense....... Bang for the buck is the whole concept here. The CNC "steps" are rather large. Probably around .050" and looks like it (the CNC) takes the material all out in one pass that causes chattering of the tool. Have you seen the GM CNC heads? They look similar. Really fine steps (.005") and roughing with multi finishing steps would produce very smooth cuts, but would add many, many more hours per head to do. Price sky rockets. I have seen the other ads that want thousand dollar core charges, but Patriot provides brand new one's. They should be hand finished as I am doing for Max effort but out of the box they are way better than whatever you had on there. They are best classified as production porting verses custom porting. Bang for the buck. How much did you pay for your "pretty" heads?

I think we all know these aren't the best heads ever made but he did make nearly 400 last night and 390 TQ.
That is with mac mid length's, stock NON PORTED TB, LS6 intake, COMPLETLY STOCK EXHAUST (minus the cats) from the Y pipe back, 6 speed, pulley, TR224 cam, and full tune.
Not to bad for having stock exhaust, midlength's, and stock TB.
Car pulls nicely. I would have liked to see the HP numbers continue to go up a little above 5800 RPM's, but what was neat was he made over 390 from 5600-6500 RPM's but never hit the 400 horse mark.
For a set of cheep heads, you really cant complain.
