Question arp head stud kit vs. stock head bolts

I am about to install my tea heads and I have a brand new set of stock gm head bolts, but I came across a buddy whom is willing to give me a used arp stud kit that was install once and then removed. Which will be a better fastener the new gm bolts or the once used arp stud kit?

I heard that the studs are only good for two installs/removals, if thats true, then you have the same life span for each.

but on the studs I should only be installing them and then leaving the actual stud in the block so that shouldnt be a problem right?

studs all the way, and definately cheaper in the long run, even if you did have to pay for them. plus the BEST part about them is that its 1000x easier to line up the heads. no more holding those ******* in place while trying to thread the bolts in

I think you can get the instructions from their web site. Make sure to follow them, as they also change the torque based on the lubrication if I remember correctly.

You can get the "ARP" moly lube or use motor oil to install them. Be sure to follow the directions to a "t". Also might want to recheck the torque after a couple of heat cycles.
