Default Fuel Filter Change

Is Changing The Fuel Filter Fairly Easy? The Biggest Job I've Ever Done Is An Ls6 Intake Swap. And That Was A Pain But It Was Easy. I Dont Even Know Where The Filter Is At. Please Help!

Easy but messy. Cover your eyes, and if possibly your mouth. I learned the hard way.

How often do you need to change the fuel filter. I bought my car with 40,000 miles on it, it has 70K know and I've never changed the fuel filter......

Every 30K is recommended. You can probbaly get away with changing it later though. Careful though as a clogged dirty filter could limit fuel flow at high rpm making your car run lean and ping, but this is a worst case scenario, youll likely never clog a filter to this point unless you picked up a tank of few of filthy gas.

I just do it every time I change the plugs which is about 10k miles. Its cheap, and it doesn't take long to do - except the one time I had a bitch of a time getting the flare nut to thread back into the filter for some odd reason.

Its a bit mess, have alot of rags ready, do it in a well ventilated place, and wear gloves - the gas will burn your hands if you are in prolonged contact with it.

i just did this like 2 weeks ago, when you take your old filter off the gas would not stop coming out of the line from the tank to the filter, so i quickly put the new filter on that line and it stopped it from coming out then i just slid it into the bracket and screwed it back on

I change mine every 15K,its so cheap and easy to do and you never know when you get a tank of gas with some bottle of the barrel sediment in it!
