If I were you, I would be looking for cams that produce a torque curve like the Katech Stage I cam in the following current thread:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-internal-engine/413097-katech-camshaft-information.html

Keep the duration low, even for a 6.0. That 4500 lbs. is alot to get moving.

Isn't a Trailblazer 4x4 or is it always AWD?
And what is final drive ration in 1st gear on one of these?
you are talking about a 4.00 inch bore. Will need more air/fuel charge to "stun" lighter cars.
But IMO, unless you have supportin bolt-ons, a stall will net you more "stunning effect" than anything else.

Seems like most people here are trying to make the most top end power they can with the biggest cam they can find. Nothing wrong with that as I am sure most of you take your cars to the track on a regular basis and every little bit helps. I want to know what you all think the best "street" cam is for good drivability (I know it's subjective) and all around good low end "seat of the pants" power. Don't intend to ever spray, go to the track maybe once a year, just want the car to have a nice sounding lope and make good useable power that I can feel between 2,500 and 6,000rpm's. Can somebody point the spotlight in the opposite direction for me? I was going for the TR224/112 which I have read good things about but is there a better choice for me? Thanks, and I'm sorry to have to ask this but I just can't find my exact question.

Oh, standard bolt-ons will apply. Headers/LS6 intake ect.
I am in the same exact boat as you and nobody wants to help, its always...research, 228 or lower is not worth the time etc etc, I drive 500mi per day and besides that not everyone wants huge HP and shi%%y driving manners for driving 80mi per day, and like me I hate big cammed LS's that I pull 2 cars on from the start of each gear and they creep up when I transition to my next gear, whats the point? Get a BIG cam ..232dur+ .600 lift+ if you want big HP and have plans to go low 11's or better, some of us want to feel the seat into our spinal cords and still get 23-26mpg with 4.10's and use our stock 10 bolt tosen T2 rear ends.
