Took the plunge:
I ordered my TR 224 last night with all the goodies. Now it's time to see if this thing is all it's cracked up to be, and I intend to test it thouroughly.

I've been a happy camper with my TR224 and I'm sure you'll like yours also. I've put a total of 8 four-session road course events thus far on it, plus 15K+ street miles, absolutely no complaints.
It makes great power, lets me play with the Z06 Vettes on the straightaways, still gets 20+ MPG on road trips, and has a nice somewhat-smooth idle.

Yes a tune is a must. I had my part throttle tune and wot done by Bill Wright. On the dyno it made 363rwhp (the dyno operator said his weather station was screwed up so I could just go ahead and add 10-15rwhp to that figure) and 379lb/ft. so using his "correction" it made around 373rwhp 379ft/lbs. Not too bad for a "baby" cam, stock ls1 intake, no ported throttlebody at the time.

When the car was dynoed it had the cam, valvetrain, macs w ory and cutout. also had a lid on the car. Just noticed you are a 2002 meaning you have an ls6 intake, port that throttlebody and think about ditching the flowmaster. Or keep the flowmaster and just put a cutout in the exhaust system.
