Default ? for those with TR's CheatR cam...??

What valve springs are you guys using with this cam? I was thinking the 918's would be enough, but should I step up to the 921's? Also are new pushrods necessary? motor has about 8kmiles on it. TIA

i dont think id use the 918s. you are right on their threshold for lift restrictions.

you will always want to replace your pushrods with stronger ones when doing a cam swap

Get new hardened pushrods, and some 921's. It's better to over-spring than to under-spring a car.

918s are fine. They are nowhere near coil bind with a .600 lift cam. Get some good pushrods though. They are a must.

Will the 918's be reliable though? This car see's a lot of track use.

Stock pushrod length is correct for unmilled heads. 918s excel at the track. I've seen guys run T-Rex cams with them and turn over 7200 rpm. I think it will handle the CheaTR with no problem.
