Your SES is going to be P03XX DTC. It could be anything from 300 to 308. If it is 301 to 308 the LSD is the cylinder number that is being detected as having the misfires. If it is P0300 the PCM can't quite figure out exactly which cylinder to blame so it just says someone is misfiring, but I'm not exactly sure who it is so I'll spread the blame across all 8 cylinders. Over time you will find that your PCM will relearn this new camshaft and gradually become less sensitive to the rough idle. You may find that the SES will come ON more frequently on cold mornings, but eventually the PCM will desensitize itself and the SES will no longer come ON. This won't happen overnite, but one day you'll say to yourself: Damn I havn't seen that SES in a long time now.

Manny,

Have you had your dyno pull yet. I'm interested in your numbers as I'm looking at the TR224. Thanks.

Yes yes.....it got postponed again!!!

I can't believe you are still keeping track dude!

Ok....I made a new appointement, it's gonna be this Thursday, August 18th at 10 AM!!

The hold up is basically that we had a bit of a crisis at work, so I couldn't get a day off, and besides that, my buddy still has a bit of fiddling to do on the car.

We want to take the valve covers off again and check the torque or the rocker arm bolts. Also, my Spohn Torque Arm still needs some work, we need to tighten to front bolts down some more, and I ordered some longer bolts for where the TA attaches to the rear end...the stock bolts without washers are just cutting it to close.

Lastly, we wanna do the restrictor mod properly so that the holes are 3/16" not 5/16" as they are now.

Anything else I should check?

I have driven the car as little as possible, coz it's obviously running rich, so I hope my new plugs didn't get too messed up by this. I guess we'll pull one of the easy ones have have a good look at it.

I promise I'll post results on Thursday!!

Yeah, I was at Hooters the other night, and one of my buddies happened to be there and he had a reader with him. It was the P0300...multiple misfires, two instances of it. It comes on and off, but I am sure the tune will take care of that, right?

I ran my iron block 375 w/ a 244/248 cam on the stock tune for about 250 miles before I got it tuned and the plugs are fine. You shouldn't have a problem.

I know it,....I feel famous!!

ArcticZ28,

My car is not running on a stock tune right now, it's running on a tune that was done after the LS6 intake and the headers were put in, and while it was there, the Throttle Body was ported. So I really dunno how it's running, but it sure smells rich...hehe. Not to the extend of gas dripping out of the exhaust or anything. It doesn't hesitate at all, doesn't backfire...it behaves rather well once she's warmed up

So you should be even better off with a tune that's geared more towards your aftermarket mods than the stock tune. I was just trying to show you how I ran my radically different motor for a long time on the stock tune and was fine. And the exhaust didn't just smell rich, it blew black carbon out the exhaust if you revved it

I am not sure, but I don't think mine does that......double as a black smoke fog machine.

I can't wait to get this tuning business done, I'll feel much better afterwards.....at least I hope I will.

30hp and 13 tq... pretty good numbers considering the basic bolt on's, should be able to squeeze a bit more torque out of that especially with the 112 LSA.

Considering your car is a auto with a stall, your numbers are quite a bit better. I am gonna attribute it to shitty dyno weather. 100 degrees intake temp just didn't help it much.
