Brent, I was comparing these heads to an older set of heads a friend of mine has from you guys (Stage 1.5 heads for a turbo application) and these Stage 1 heads measure up pretty well. Looks like you guys over at TEA are really turning out some nice stuff. I might go with these Stage 1 heads after all and save myself a couple hundred bucks. Judging by what my friend made before the turbo went on with a blower cam and MAC midlengths, my little cam and long tubes should be similar, and he was over 390rwhp (locked on the old TEA dyno).

Looks like as soon as I get a lock on an LS6 intake I'll be giving you guys a call.

I am no longer at TEA but I did hear that GMMG used the first set of stage 1 heads with killer results. How does 451rwhp sound???? I am sure Brian Tooley will chime in soon.
I am not sure of the specifics of the cam shaft but I do know they were using ls6 valves in a stage 1 5.7 non ls6 head.

I have been waiting for the dyno graph for 2 or 3 weeks now, I guess it is not going to come The Stage 1 head we tested was a 5.7 head, it was different in that it had the LS6 sodium filled valves. The cam was approximately 228/230 , the intake was a stock LS6, and the headers were Dynatech. This is no bull, it actually made 10 RWHP more then our 5.3 heads and carried the power longer. This is an incredible accomplishment to say the least. We see the guys with $2200 aftermarket heads and Fast 90/90 intake bragging about making 450, how about the same power with a $999 Stg 1 head and an LS6 intake. I am going to start a post as soon as I receive the dyno sheets with COMPLETE details.

I have some testing done on my set as well.
I am waiting for some non raining days to finish my testing at the track.
Then I will add a 90/90 and see what happens on the dyno.
So far I am over 400 RWHP in a A4 with 4200 stall, 12 bolt, 373 gear.
I beat a SCed WS6 this weekend from a roll that trapped 116 in the 1/4 by 2 1/2-3 car lengths.
I will make a full detailed post once I get my track numbers as they are more important to me they dyno numbers.
Cam is similar 228/230.
Mine used stock LS1 valves.
No price difference for the difference chamber size.
I am very impressed so far.

1-2 Days, we have many sets cut, ready to be finished. It seems people always want a different spring or compression or something.

JZ is correct, it doesn't cost any extra for the milling, its part of the "package", the heads that made the 451 were milled .030", this head includes 918 springs, if you already have springs you can deduct around $179 from that price

The BEST part of this package is the fact that even milled .030" they still have more P to V clearance then ANY 5.3 Stg 1.5/2/2.5, which means you can run more cam then with a 5.3 head.

Brian whats the most you could mill those heads without flycutting the pistons using the FM15 cam?

Do you have a cost structure for these heads with the Z06 intake and exhaust valve?

No we do not, however, I have heard the Z06 valves can be bought for around $100 a set if you look around.

Wow, awesome news on the power numbers. Looks like I might be pulling some OT hours to fund these heads. Or maybe they could be a nice XMas present to myself. I am definitely getting a set of these though, as soon as the budget allows.

We have the LS6 Stg 1 program in the works, we have every reason to believe it will make at least as much power and more torque.
