Default Camshaft/spring recommendations

I find that the more I delve into reading about cams the more confused I get . I hear great things about the F13 and the F14, but they are a pretty close split, and I want to run N2o or a S/C later on. I also plan to run PRC or AFR heads down the road on stock displacement.

This is not a daily driver, primarily a once a week to work and weekend car show/track car. I want 390-400 rwhp, gobs of torque with good power under the curve.

Here are the mods that I have on my 346 M6;
PS LT's (race only)
TSP True Dual 3" exhaust
4.10 gears (my rear end is broken, going to get a 12-bolt w/ 4.10's)
LS6 Intake (should I go to an LSX, Cam-only?)
Stallard Ported TB (ya I ported it, hehe) + Fernco mod
02' Z06 MAF
Lid/Filter
Taylor 10.4's NGK plugs
All Free mods
Ram HD Clutch/pressure plate, billet steel flywheel
Tune by Gomer, 327/331 before headers and exhaust

If there is a better cam for non-N/A applications that makes good N/A power, please point me in the correct direction.

Default cam

I would call one of our sponsors and give them your future upgrades, Most are really helpful, Also I wouldn't go with the LSX stuff unless you go big cubic inches even then not sure, I see better results out of the LS6 intake.

I dont see spraying the F13 or the F14 being a problem. Im spraying the F13 right now & havent had any problems. I havent got to dyno yet but I think you'd be very pleased.

Cool deal. I think my exhaust is open enough to where a big split may not be necessary, anyhow. However I am not an expert

You will be just fine with a small split. But you could always call one of the sponsors & they may be able to custom grind you something like your looking for.

Excellent point. I think I'll be getting on the phone to see what my best bet is.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction (both of you)

You need to seriously consider what you will end up doing with the car. When it comes to cam choice there is a HUGE difference between nitrous and forced induction grinds. I would also consider going bigger. With your steep gears it'll fly.

I appreciate the advice. I like Supercharging, for the sake of something new, (have had N2o before) but N2o is so easy to buy into that I will go that route unless a S/C falls into my lap really inexpensively.

I spoke with Futral and Thunder Racing, both have good deals and cams. I have been recommended the 230/236 from TR and the F13-112 or F14-112 from Futral. I am going to get dyno sheets to look at the curves, etc.
