Default I bought the G5X3 cam... does anyone have info?

I bought the LMPerformance G5X3 114 LSA... They won't release any information on the duration at all, the lift is .600/.612 with 114 LSA. I also have Patriot dual valve springs... Does anyone have this cam/know duration/if its any good?

i think yo mean LG preformance, I just got the x3 on a 112. lift is .610/.600 not many people know the duration and those that do are hush hush about it. patriot dual springs are fine, that's what i'll be running with mine. I hope you have boltons this cam makes sick power and loves the juice.

Actually, it's LG Motorsports, LG referring to Lou Gigilotti.

As for the G5X3, it makes serious power if you have the right combination of parts. It's an XE-R lobed cam from Comp Cams, so it is very agressive. Your Patriot Springs will be fine, however. It's rumored to be 234/242, and on the 114 it has 2 degrees of advance built in. As said above, it loves the juice.

There are alot of numbers floating around...I was told 234/238 .598/.602 for the 114 LSA...Not sure anyone but LG knows for sure...Guess it really doesn't matter much...

The frickin thing pulls like a freight train...

Build the right combo around it and you'll see 400-420rwhp and be running mid to high 11's and trapping over 120. Enjoy!

i have the x3 cam w/afr 205 heads and some boltons. on a stang dyno i made 434hp 390tq and so far ran a best of 11.21@122.27 in a full weight car with stock ws6 front tires(no skinnies here). it's a nice cam and with a good tuner, you'll hardly know it's in there. goodluck to ya.

Got my X3 with 112 degree seperation in a few weeks ago, love the cam, making 391rwhp on a Mustang Dyno, through a 4000rpm converter. Not bad for just Hooker Longtubes, cam, and lid car. Havent gone to the track yet, but I hope to have number soon. I might be able to get sound clips of it over the weekend.

Hope to get injectors and fuel pump soon enough, so the bottle can go in.

x3 on a 112

Here it is...

https://ls1tech.com/forums/multimedia-exchange/185413-g5x3-112lsa-video-exhaust-uncapped.html

Folks had asked about what a G5X3 sounds like, and idles like. So, I was putting the exhaust back on the car, and shot a before and after video. The video is of 3Gun's car.

This is the G5X3 car that I drove at the Thunder Shootout, and the South Carolina Corvette shootout.

Please don't stream these videos. Right click and save as, and run them from your machine. If folks stream this stuff, then my ISP will shut me down. The videos are rather large (~20M each), so I would only recommend broadband folks download them.

The first video is LGM long tubes with an X-Pipe and dumps. [17.4M]
G5X3 Uncapped

The second Video is LGM long tubes with and X-Pipe, no cats, and B&B PRTs. [21.4M]
G5X3 with exhaust[/

Here is a video of the car uncapped, and racing in the S.C. Tuner shootout.

234/242, .600/.612
But cam cards may vary a little, just like T-rex's (no 2 alike)

In those videos the car was

stock Ls6 bottom end
LGM G5X3 cam 112 LSA
LGM headers
LGM tuning
LGM / AS heads
McLeod Dual Disc
4.10 gears
FAST90
LGM/NW 90MM TB

The car made 503.5RWHP and 451.9 RWTQ on the LGM dyno.

LM Performance (Late Model Performance) also sells LG cams...

this thread died kind of abruptly 2 years ago...why not revive it??? LOL
A friend of mine is about to buy this cam for his Formula. Anybody know if PTV is good (0.08I / 0.1E) with LS6 heads?
