Default Heads/Cam question

yes, I have searched, and havnt found a decent answer. I am wondering what you guys would recommend for a heads/cam setup on a 2001 TA WS6 M6. It is completelly stock. It will be a street car, hoping to put down some decent numbers with it, maybe 11's. It will also de a daily driver, please keep that in mind. Now, shoot away guys.... Thanks alot in advance.

im no expert but some tea 1.5's (expensive) or just some reworked ls6 heads (cheeper and just as good imo) with a tr224\224 cam seems to be a safe combo from what ive read personally im gonna go much bigger (230-240 range) on my cam but the 224 cam is a typical cam for daily drivers

i was looking at afr 205s and a g5x3 cam, but not sure if this is a good combo or not. I mean, if I could get something that produces the same numbers for less, I am all about it!

AFR's are the best heads on the market, imo, and in the opinion of many others too. the 224 is a very streetable cam and makes real good power and can definitly get you into the 11s

11's is obtainable on a big stall and nittos... if your loking for bang for buck id go with reworked ls6 heads.. their almost as good as tea's and afr's but flow a little less with huge cams for a street cam the difference is power is negable for me im lookin mabye p&p ls6 heads an a tsp 232\239 cam still a streetable combo

If you are on a $3k budget with a stock M6 car, as stated in your other post, you won't have to worry about heads/cam for awhile.

Asking "what's a good h/c combo for a stock car" isn't a good question to begin with, let alone when you won't even be able to afford it for some time. Figure out what to do with your $3k for now and learn about heads and cams in the meantime.

BTW: Don't waste money on a crane hand held, there are much better tuning tools out there.
