Default *****New FFHP Spring Tool*****

We now have an extremely nice and easy to use spring tool for those do it yourselfers. It does two springs at once and takes only minutes to remove and install springs. it will not work on oversized diameter springs but any other spring will work be it a single behive, a patriot dual or even a triple spring. The bottom plate is 1/2 inch thick and has a 1/8 inch spacer that goes under it. the top plate is 1/4 inch thick so it will never flex while changing springs. all hardware is grade 8 or better. the main stud is 3/8 inch and sits at a 7.5 degree angle from the plate so when you compress the springs the plate moves down at the same angle as the valve and doesnt cause the spring to bind. will fit any factory LS1 head including the 806 castings. below are some pictures of the tool. Introductory pricing is $70 shipped to the 48 states. we have 25 that will be ready to ship on wednesday.

if you want i can send some complimentary razor blades along with it and you can commense the cutting before you start the spring swap. just an idea.

This tool looks almost indentical in design to the Crane tool but just less beefier base than the Crane tool I have.

And cheaper which is a plus.

Mmmmmmm. I like. I am toying with the idea of ditching my stock springs with 80,000 miles on them even though I still have the stock cam. Might need to look into this tool soon .

Might as well put in a new cam if you are going to change the springs

Yeah, well good springs and Ti retainers will be about $280-$300 and then throw a $369-$399 cam on top of that plus gaskets and tools and a new crank bolt------I just can't afford it now. Will be nice not to have to worry about springs and such when I can afford a cam though .

Looks functional, but also looks like alot of stress on the stud threads. I guess I am just accustomed to changing the springs with an air powered clamp

It puts no more stress on the threads then the rocker does when it pushes the spring down. All you are doing with this tool is doing essentially the same thing the rocker is doing but you have an opening where you can remove the locking clips and replace the spring.

I was making reference to the fact that it compresses 2 springs at once. Obviously it works just fine. Just stating my opinion.

True, but it balances that would since the tool is using both studs. So each spring is still using one stud to hold the spring pressure.
