it's part of the cam swap write up ls1howto.com. just follow the part about taking the rockers off. really, you shouldn't need it. just take off your valve covers, unbolt the rockers, then take out the pushrods.

its not hard. pull the coil back, pull the valve cover, pull the rockers off, pull out the pr's, reinstall in backwards order.

just torque the 8mm bolts to 22lbs and call it a day. Not sure what you mean about compression, unless you mean valve lash? Just get the stock length rods and torque them down.

What they probably meant is that you should bottom out the bolt on the rocker if it is compressing the spring, back it off, -then- set your torque.

The service manual tells you to put the engine at TDC and torque specific valves because they are on the base circle. Rotate 360 and do the others. Not sure the torque reading is accurate on a rocker that has a compressed spring.

I think the other question he is asking is seat pressure and installed height.

why wouldnt they be? is the car not running? broken? make alot of vavletrain noise?

just seems like alot of work for nothing.... if you are going to be in there you might as well just re-install better springs and throw a cam in!

just my 2 cents....

good luck on that pushrod swap!

i am pretty much dead set on the C2 cam from MTI, another member on here said he produced 378 hp with just the cam, intake, and catback. i didnt believe him at first but he showed me the numbers, so that is the cam i am wanting.
