224/228 114 LSA with AFR 205's is a pretty good bet. I'm waiting for the new Dart 205's to come out. Supposed to be pretty good numbers and they are only about $1,280 for both heads fully assembled. If they flow anything like they claim, they have to be the buy of the century. Make sure to change your cam chain to an LS2, it's much beefier and you have to take it out anyways, same for the oil pump, you will want a high flow pump, I just bought one from Lingenfelter for $89.00.

They dont flow as much but they're not off by much either. I'd say its right in the ball park with pricing. Slightly less money for slighty less flow. Still a good deal.

Dart head flow rate is available here, so they are definately a good price.
I dont think stock is available until November sometime..
http://www.dartheads.com/manager/uploads/LS1Flyer.pdf
I see carshopinc.com has them listed for £588.95!

afr 205's and that afr cam 224/228 114 is a proven combo.Other heads may have the same peak flow numbers but will not provide the same performance as the afr's,no question about it.480 rwhp can be seen with there heads and cam.

My opinion from looking at flow numbers from a few different vendors selling 5.3 heads. IMHO if your loooking for the best street daily driver setup on a stock block I would go with TSP/PRC 2.5's and a tr224 cam on a 112 lsa. With that combo I'm putting down more torque than an fm13 and actualy out pull it through 5800 rpms. about 440hp and 420tq, my numbers are in my sig with a mustang dyno. Now you can get higher peak hp numbers with the fm13 or bigger cams but they are above 6000 rpms. I havent seen a dyno yet with better numbers below 5800 rpms. Only using an ls6 intake as well. A 90/90 would net better gains. Darts arent out yet are they? Havent seen a single graph of them yet but if you dont mind waiting they might be worth it as well, but for the money it would be hard to beat TSP and TR. You dont even need the cam package just the cam and hardened pushrods. You could even get the cam used for cheap money I'm sure. The TSP heads are about 1530 or something and a used cam should be between 200-300, then all you need is gaskets and a timing chain, maybe a ported oil pump for safety. All kinds of ways to save on this if you want to.
