Just finished my 402 with iron block. not happy with track times.
im running gtp stage 2 heads, trex cam, comp roller rockers ls6 intake ported tb, 4.10 gears with cartech clutch set up and old tune from east side for my 382 with same cam and heads.
best pass at the track was 11.85 at 121mpg with a 1.75 60ft
i recorded a run my 02s are a 900mv at wide open with no knock.
what should that motor make any ideas. all input would be helpfull( also have a 180 dry kit im going to use after the motor makes good power on motor) thanxs

first i would say go with a port matched 90/90 for some better numbers also do you have a pulley, from what i have seen most properly built 402 usally make anywhere from 435 to 500 rwhp on motor, a new tune might not be a bad idea either

Something doesn't make since. The 60fts are weak , but I do understand since you are on the stock 10 bolt. 1.5 60fts would knock 4/10 off, but the MPG...I mean MPH is still way low for that set up.

Just for grins, go have someone push the throttle to the floor (with the motor off of course) and see if you are getting a full wot travel.

You need to get a good tune any way to make sure the changes are made to accomodate the new cylinder volume. The PCM still thinks you are running a 346 and there's a chance your injectors are pegged out and not providing the amount of fuel the big motor wants. I would fix these things before considering a 90/90 set up. I'd also invest in a solid rear unit before the 90/90.

How heavy is the car?
