Good TSP Cam
Good TSP Cam Alright guys im thinking about buying a buddy of mines TSP 231/237.598/.595 112+2 LSA. I was wondering is this a good streetable DD type cam? Also, i have 116K miles on the motor, but its still a very strong runner, and i have basic boltons, like longtubes, exhaust, lid, bellows, pulley, so i need like an intake and throttle body or would the cam be fine? What type of power should i be making with this cam? around 350rwhp? Oh ya this is also in a 6 speed car. Alright guys well any info u can give me would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks alot.

Might be a little big for DD, but that really depends on what you cna but up with. I'd get an LS6 intake to go with that cam, as the LS1 intake won't breathe enough up top for that cam to really shine. With an LS6 intake you should make 390 or so.

i agree with luv2spd, i would suggest the MS3 (like i always do) but i wouldn't want to spin my motor up to 6800rpms with 116K miles on it. The torquer makes great power and you don't have to spin your motor to crazy rpms to have fun.
I run a 230/236 112 lsa +2 XE-R cam in my C5. I can lug it around at 1k in 6th gear and screams all the way up to the 6600 (conservative) rev limit. Makes great power all over the place. Speed Density tuning makes larger cams behave really well.

I have that cam. Numbers are in sig w/o ported throttle body and asp pulley. As far as driveability. I drive it everday. It's probably 10 miles to work on M W F and about 15 miles to school on T TH. Plus the extra driving around town. It's my only car. I can live with it. I'd probably like something smaller, but it still drives great. As long as you keep >1500 you will never notice any surging.

Verdad Gallardo Thanks guys, im really think i might just go with the TSP cam. Ive wanted that cam for a while, and i think it sounds awesome. After i buy the cam, im gonna start saving for a shortblock anyways. Thanks for the help everyone, im sure ill be back on here with more questions.
