Default help picking a cam for 430-450rwhp!!

have a 98 T/A. just got Patriot LS6 5.7 - STAGE 2 (2.055/1.57/59cc) and a Fast intake 90mm with a NW 90mm TB. iwant to be making 430-450 rwhp.what cam should i get. i was thinking a TSP 237/242, .603"/.609" (a little to big ?)

As long as your heads are good and your tune is on the money, any cam 224 and larger will get you there.

what is the spec on the T-REX, and is the TSP CAM (237/242, .603"/.609") to big or would i have an PTVC? or a 233/239 598"/.603" this is a step down

A freind of mine had the F13 with same heads u got and an ls6 manifold with stock ported TB and had 423hp and 403Tq.

Ya thats what they got in their web site:-

"Thunder Racing Custom Camshaft - T-ReX v.2 - 242/248 - .608/.612 - 110 lsa 3500-6700 RPM Power Band. Violent mid-range & high RPM power. Requires computer tuning, 4000+ converter on autos, 4.10's or greater on manual trans cars. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended. Due to the extreme nature of this camshaft, piston to valve clearance must be verified when using modified cylinder heads."

Thats on A4 buddy and a 3.73 rearend and thats on a 4 door holden....

lou doesn't give out the specs on the x3 or x4. It makes good power and that can be seen from a lot of people on this forum myself included. all we know is that it will clear stock heads and that it is bigger than a 232/240 @.050 and i think the lift is around .598/.610.
