Default anyone running this cam from crane

its part # 1449601

228° 232° 112° .600" .600"

it is tunable with the crane cams tuner and that is a HUGE plus because i dont wanna bother with sending my PCM off and all that...and also there is no good dyno tuners around where i live...but i want a BIG cam to make LOTS of power N/A

That's the Vinci 049. I am going to run the 041 (144832) in my Lunti 383 with the 1.8 accellerated lift rockers. The two look pretty similar, with the 041 checking at 228*/236* at .600 on a 114. It also has two degrees more overlap than yours at 68, and both have fairly conservative ramps.

I wish Crane/Vinci would use 0.006 lift for their published duration specs like the rest, rather than 0.004; it would really make comparisons with cams from other manufacturers easier.

Default camshaft

Yes, I put this cam in a 98 Z28. I really like this cam, awesome hp and trq. Watch if you are putting cranes rockers on with this cam because piston to valve gets close on intake side. This cam checked in on a 106 int. cl for me, and with the crane 1.7 rockers I used with this set up and milled heads I had to flycut pistons. You can use there programmer to tune your car with this cam. FAST and Vinnci has alot to do with the programmer so its a really good buy for the money, and the programmer has alot other features that NO other programmer out on the market can do. One last recoomendation with this cam is a min. of 3000 stahl and use cranes 144832 springs with it, other springs tind to harmonic at upper r's with this profile.

Keep in mind that the VINCI/CRANE programmer only does automatic shift points of 6100 rpm. (I wish they would revise that, and I could send mine for revision)
So if you run a cam that needs to carry above those shift points, you're $hit out of luck.

I could have sworn that the shift points were like in the 6300-6400 range with the Crane programmer. I logged a few runs awhile ago and I was specifically looking for the shift points. I wonder if shift points are different based on what cam tune you choose?

OK, that makes sense. My stock shift point was ~6000 rpm.
