Looks like a great deal...

Question...given everything else stays the same, would ported heads move your peak power higher in the RPM range?

hmm i wonder the same thing. i would imagine so.. seems most mods do.. generally the bigger the cam the higher the rpm range.... but things like adding cubic inches increase tq down low...

one thing is for sure, those stage 2 ls6 heads would make more power everywhere on my car probably lol

Reason I ask is because I thought about going with a larger cam...but if these heads will really move my peak higher I won't want any more than the TR230 that I originally decided on. The combination of parts is key.

Will the heads that are being offered for $849 combined with the FM13 cam that im going to be installing in conjustion with all the bolttons for my c5 get me to over 420rwhp. i have an A4 c5 with long tube headers, x-pipe and hi flow cats with corsa indy exhaust, and soon to be vortex intake, plus a good tune after the cam. thanks.

The difference in the price is assembled vs unassembled. If you buy the $849 heads you will still need springs and hardware.

We have had customers with the f13 who have gotten numbers like this.

Gunnar, I really like the 2nd option from the top post. I have new in the box CC 921 springs. The bottom retainer is 1.30" in diameter, will this fit the heads OK? Since I allready have these springs, I want to use them.

I will call you tomorrow (Thursday). Can I get a bag of Super 7 locks?

There is an option with valves but no springs.

New Factory 243 Patriot CNC ported heads with Ferrea valves: These will be new 243 GM castings that are CNC ported with our stage II program and have our five angle valve job. The combustion chambers will be 64cc and extra milling is available at no extra charge. These heads will be fitted with Ferrea 6000 series 2.02"/1.57" stainless valves. No springs will come with this particular option.
Pricing is $1,075.00 per pair, no exchange.
Your springs will fit that. You'll need valve seals as well.

I plan on the exact same setup. I'm gonna get the heads compelete with springs though. We shall see what numbers I come up with.

Hey guys... I am somewhat new to ls1's.... i was previously turned off of patriot due to the options and info i saw in summitt comparing them to other vendors (cam choices suck) (... yet this sounds to good to be true)

59cc heads with new larger valves and high lift springs for less than 1400.00?? what is the compression ratio again with the bottom option for an ls1?

what cam will work well...... street cam, nice lope... not choppy idle, not a spring killer. looking for 400+whp on M6 with hooker LT's, H/C, and dumps. stock ls1 intake for now.

The MS3 will fit PP 243 with stock valves and no mill.
It might even fit PP 59 cc with 2.02/ 1.57 valves ( not sure though)
But with bigger valves, the way to do this is stick the cam in and measure PTV.
No sane sponsor here will give you a definite answer, it will be it "should" but "better measure", which is sound advice when you're playing with cams that size.
