So what is this cam based for, is it for a fully built 346? Or is it like the MS3-TREX-F15 as the largest cam you can fit on stock heads? And whats the powerband of this monster. By the way sounds awesome never thought a 115 could sound like that, killer.

You are all confusing LSA and OVERLAP.
OVERLAP is what makes a car lope not the LSA
That cam on a 117 will still lope hard with 12* overlap

Probably....Guys. The whole point of this thread was to show the *overlap over LSA confusion. You see it lopes on a 115 so therfore the LSA absolutely cannot be the contributing factor. so yes it does depend on overlap not the LSA.

Actualy YES the LSA is part of the equation, but the amount of overlap is what makes it lope.

Equation is:

(Int DUR + Exht DUR)/2 - (2 x LSA) = * Overlap at duration used.

So it would be 16* according to the equation? Either that or I have crappy math skills. I really never figured out or even knew what it was.

(244+248)= 492/2=246
115x2= 230
246-230= 16* @ .050 (BINGO)
